ANZAC Day – Dawn Service in Martin Place and Celebrations later @ the Duke

ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day on which we remember Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.  The spirit of ANZAC, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.

The Dukes will be attending The ANZAC Day Dawn Service at The Cenotaph – Martin Place will begin at 4:30am on Friday 25th of April, 2014.

The ANZAC Day march starts at 9:00am and if you haven’t been before, get involved it is quite moving.

As a celebration of the ANZAC spirit you can later join the Alexandria Dukes RFC at the Iron Duke Hotel for an ANZAC Day party. There will be 2-up from midday and The Barefooted Souls playing from 1pm.
All the traditional NRL and AFL games will be shown live in the Tree and Firkin Bar.
