The day of reckoning

Saturday 17th March 2012, will be a day that will go down in history, and see a lot of hard work realised, both from an administration and a training point of view.
The 17th is when the Alexandria Dukes Rugby Football Club, takes to the pitch for its first trial.  The trial will be at Wills Ground, against Canterbury and Waverly Rugby clubs.  Wills ground is on Wardell road Earlwood.  The Dukes will kick off at 2:00pm.  See the map below.

Not only is it the clubs first trial, it is also the Alexandria Dukes first club event.  The event is being held at the club rooms, which are located at the Iron Duke Hotel, Corner Botany and McEvoy streets Alexandria.
The event is a community event with the World’s Greatest Shave also occurring.  There will be a number of club members as well, as people from the community, putting their heads, beards, and moustaches up for charity.  So get down and support them for this great cause, and see the new Dukes court

The Dukes of Hazard, a Blues and Rock band will be playing 3 sets during the day starting from 3:00pm, and late into the evening.

Social memberships will be available for the Dukes on the evening.  Hope to see you at the footy or at the Duke for the World’s Greatest Shave.

PS. it’s also St Patrick’s Day and what better way to celebrate than to come down and listen to a band in a beer garden drinking green beer.
