On behalf of the Alexandria Dukes Rugby Football Club, it is a great pleasure to announce that the Benn Robinson has become the Alexandria Dukes RFC club patron for 2012.
Benn is one of the most popular players in Australian Rugby and it is easy to see why. Giving up his personal time to help out a start up club at training, and putting his name to the club as patron. A big ask with his own Rugby commitments, both locally and abroad, as the Tahs continue on their Super Rugby campaign.
Billy Hodgetts, Dukes club captain said, “All the Dukes players who trained tonight went up a notch with Benn’s input. It means a lot to the players and the club to have the support of someone of Benn skill and stature within the Rugby community.”
Hodgetts went on to say “Personally I hope we can learn a few little tricks in the front row from him….…but in all seriousness, it is great to have Benn involved as our patron, and hope that we have a great relationship throughout the season and long into the future”
