It was another heartbreaking loss for the Dukes last week, getting beaten by Dundas Valley 19-11, in another hard fought contest. The game could have gone either way for 75 minutes. Great performances by all, but special mention to Phillip Tovey who played with a torn thigh for 35 minutes.
This week the Dukes are away to the Old Boys. In the first round the Old Boy won the game in the last few minutes and since have had some up and down performances.
It’s time to muscle up and show the competition what the Dukes are made of.
The game will be at Reg Bartley Oval in Rushcutters Bay, with the usual 3:15 kick-off. If you need a lift, be at the Duke by 1:30, otherwise be at the ground by 2:15pm
The Post Match function will be on at Key Largo (Same pub as last year), which is where the SGOB’s do their drinking, 200 metres up the road from the ground. They will have the Test on which starts at 7:30, So I urge all Dukes to come back for a Lemonade. Nick from SGOB’s confirmed that it is child friendly for everyone bringing children.
